Field of Bone

Kunark Era (added 2000-2001)

The Field of Bone gets its name from the former reservoir of Cabilis which is now home to bones and wandering undead, remnants of a battle in years past. The area, while bone dry itself, is surrounded by plant life and wetlands.

Long before the elves discovered Kunark, a great war took place between the Iksars and Ring of Scale. The final battle in this war occurred in the sky above what is now the Field of Bone: Emperor Ganak of the Iksars & Jaled'Dar, leader of the Ring of Scale fought with one another until they were both destroyed. To this day, Jaled'Dar's bones remain in the barren field. The spirits of these two remain in Norrath, Emperor Ganak resides in Trakanon's Teeth & Jaled Dar`s Shade resides in Dragon Necropolis. Each aiding those who wish to enter new dungeons and both seeking revenge.

Dangers

• Militia Skeleton, make sure not to mix up with decaying.

• Marauder, make sure not to mix up with footpad.

• Since most higher lvl enemies are mixed in be aware of trains or social with other mobs

• Aside from basic enemies there are two specific dangers, the first is The Tangrin who is off the northern shore on a small island. The second is Targishin, an aggressive undercon skeleton that stands guards over the entrance to Kaesora.

Benefits

• Scorpions & beetles provide a good source of money.

• Scaled wolf pups are hunted for their curscale skins to make the rare curskin armor.

• You can be bound on a platform near the entrance to Kaesora, which is very convenient for anyone hunting in either Kurn's or Kaesora.

Traveling To and From The Field Of Bone

• East Cabilis is located in the southwestern corner of the field, and since Iksars have their guilds in Cabilis, this provides easy access to the field.

• Warsliks Wood is located in the Northwest behind a hill range.

• Kurn's Tower is located Northeast of the pit standing tall above it.

• Kaesora is located in the large ruins to the East.

• Emerald Jungle is located behind the large ruins to the East.

• Swamp of No Hope is located directly below the pit in the South.
